Digital Dream Labs is committed to wasting your time until you give up asking for a refund. Here are some examples of how great the customer service is:

Avoid acknowledging your request

Customer service promptly ask how they can help, and avoid acknowledging the refund request. This makes it seem like they are responsive, but DDL isn’t actually interested in processing a refund.

Lying about refund method

Customer service will mention that it can only be refunded to original payment method to buy a few weeks (spoiler: DDL told the PA Attorney General Office that they need a different form of payment since after 6 months they cannot return it to the original payment method)

Lying about communication

DDL will claim to “attempt contact” and “offer a refund” – but they won’t email you or follow up. If you ask for any copies of this contact, expect the conversation to go silent.

Waiting you out

DDL will try to ignore you or answer with unhelpful prompts. Anything to keep your money.

Pass the Buck

When pressed, Customer Service will claim they forwarded it onto their Finance Department – but you never get to talk to them and all you can do is wait. They will ask you to talk to your bank – but guess what – its been too long for a chargeback.

Lock You into Arbitration

Didn’t opt out of the arbitration clause when you pre-ordered the butter robot like some kind of serial killer? Well, that’s one more recourse off of the table.

Corporate Fraud?

I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer – I just know they’re holding onto my money and gaslighting customers. It doesn’t seem like honest business practice.

No License for Butter Robot

  • Since 2020, doesn’t even have the license to build Butter Robots
  • But Don’t worry! we will have it in 2022 by Season 8!
  • Relax, it will happen eventually! Just don’t ask for a refund!
